Set up Notifyr
You design an email in Notifyr, copy its code, and paste it into the same notification in your Shopify admin. Nothing changes in your store until you paste the code and save.
Before you start
Shopify lets you edit notification code only after your sender email is confirmed. You can check it in your Shopify admin under Settings, then Notifications.
1. Pick a set
Open Notifyr from Apps in your Shopify admin. Choose Linen, Shopify or Kaysun, pick a color, and click Customize.
2. Bring in your brand
Open Theme settings, then Brand sync, and click Get brand. Notifyr reads your storefront and fills in your logo, colors and fonts. If your storefront has a password, Notifyr asks for it and uses it for that one read only. It doesn't keep it.
3. Edit an email
Pick an email from the list. Click any part of the preview to edit it, or add a section. Each section has a When to show setting: leave it as Shopify sends it, pick one of the email's own rules, or write your own.
Notifyr saves your work to your store as you edit.
4. Copy the code
Click Copy code. If you changed the subject line, copy it too, from Subject and text.
5. Paste it into Shopify
- In your Shopify admin, go to Settings, then Notifications.
- Open Customer notifications or Staff notifications and click the email you designed.
- Click Edit code.
- Replace everything in Email body (HTML) with the code from Notifyr. If you changed the subject, paste it into Email subject.
- Click Save.
6. Test it
On the same Edit code page, use Preview to see the email with Shopify's sample order, or Send test email to get a copy in your inbox.
Undo a change
To go back to Shopify's own email, open it in Settings, Notifications, click Edit code and choose Revert to default. Shopify can't bring back your edited version after that, but your design stays in Notifyr, so you can paste it again any time.
