Questions
Short answers about what Notifyr changes in your Shopify store, and what it leaves alone.
What is Notifyr?
Notifyr is a Shopify app for designing the notification emails Shopify sends to your customers and staff. You edit an email in Notifyr and paste its code into Shopify's notification settings.
Does Notifyr send emails?
No. Shopify sends every notification, as it does now. Notifyr gives you the code for how each email looks.
Which emails can I design?
The Shopify and Kaysun sets cover Shopify's 52 notifications, including order confirmation, shipping confirmation, refunds, gift cards and the staff New order email. Linen has 47 emails of its own.
Will my emails change as soon as I install Notifyr?
No. An email changes only when you paste Notifyr's code into that notification in Shopify and save it.
How do I go back to Shopify's own email?
Open the email in Settings, Notifications, click Edit code and choose Revert to default. Your design stays saved in Notifyr, so you can paste it again later.
Do I need to know code?
No. You change text, colors and sections in the editor. If you want, you can also write your own show rule with Shopify's Liquid variables.
Does Notifyr see my customers' data?
No. Notifyr asks Shopify for two permissions: reading products, for product picks, and writing files, for logo uploads. Shopify fills in order and customer details when it sends an email, so Notifyr never receives them.
Which languages can my emails be in?
56, including English, Spanish, French, German, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Hindi and Bangla. Emails in Arabic, Hebrew, Persian and Urdu read right to left.
What happens to my designs if I uninstall?
Notifyr removes your store's connection when you uninstall and deletes your saved designs 48 hours later. Emails you already pasted into Shopify stay as they are.
How much does Notifyr cost?
The price is on Notifyr's Shopify App Store listing, and any charge goes through your Shopify bill.
How do I get help?
Email support@notifyrmail.com. Include your store's myshopify.com address and the email you were working on.
